Set within the pristine Tangkoko Nature Reserve, this expedition grants access to observe and film Sulawesi’s most iconic endemic species, including:

• Spectral Tarsier – the world’s smallest primate

• Sulawesi Crested Black Macaque (Yaki) – known for its strong social behavior

• Bear Cuscus – a slow-moving marsupial living high in the canopy

• Hornbills, Kingfishers, Parrots, and other tropical birdlife

🎬Filming Permits & Conservation Fees

All filming and research inside Tangkoko Nature Reserve require an official filming permit issued by the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) under Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

Participants must apply and pay for the official filming permit before the expedition.
This process ensures that all activities comply with conservation regulations and support the protection of local wildlife and habitats.

Because this is a special-purpose program, the cost of the Tangkoko Wildlife Filming Expedition differs from regular tours.
It includes:

• Official BKSDA filming permit fees

• Support from park rangers and local authorities

• Extended field access & logistical coordination

Day 1 – Arrival in Manado ➝ Tangkoko

• Private pick-up from Sam Ratulangi International Airport or your hotel in Manado.

• Scenic drive to Tangkoko Nature Reserve (approximately 2.5 hours).

• Check-in at Tangkoko Lodge or Field Homestay near the reserve.

• Evening briefing with your local guide about filming objectives and schedule.

• Dinner and overnight stay near the forest.

Day 2 – Equipment Setup & Location Scouting

• Early morning forest walk with a local guide and park ranger.

• Scouting filming areas: sleeping tree locations, feeding zones, and potential camera angles.

• Afternoon rest and preparation of filming gear.

• Short evening observation to study target species behavior before the main shoot.

Day 3–6 – Filming & Observation Days

• Daily early morning and late afternoon filming sessions for best natural light and activity.

• Midday reserved for data logging, equipment charging, or rest.
